Proposed:
The signal strength meter of the RX320 to be calibrated for all filter
selections, modes, frequencies and levels. This is done by establishing a
particular configuration and establishing a corrective factor to apply to the
signal strength value from the RX320. This corrective value can be applied by
software so regardless of the configuration you can have a highly accurate
signal strength reading. Using automated test equipment this table of corrective
values could be generated for each RX320 unit. If the production tolerances are
tight enough perhaps just a small sample of units could be used to provide a
generic corrective table.
