The earliest of the Omni A units only has a 2.4 kHz xtal filter, no 1.8 slot.
CW filtering is accomplished via active filters, as in the Triton series. Also,
this unit has a squelch control where the notch filter knob resides on the later
Omnis.

There was an Omni A and Omni D of the 'B' series too.
The 'C' series was the only one that did not offer an analog readout
version and was really only referred to as an Omni C.
I don't remember the difference between the first Omni and the Series 'B'
Omni. I was thinking one thing had something to do with the way the xtal
filters were selected.
