I discuss this type problem with W4TV Joe Subich. If you will check out
lists@subich.com you will find alot of information. He has the schematic for a
BCD Amplifier Interface. Also a more simple schema is the microham
Hercules/ALS-600 Driver from Joe W4TV. Another sharp ham is K4LXV Larry who has
sent me a very elegant schema K3-Hercules Interface borrowed from W4TV's
schema. I cannot say any of this works as I did not follow through on the

I recently came across an ad for a 9423 remote head for the Herc II on
qrz.com. The rice was HIGH. I wonder if there is someone
out there who has the manual for the 9423 so one could be replicated?
It would seem to be a straightforward switching
project...
