To me, a 170 kHz or 200 kHz shift seems excessively wide. By three orders
of magnitude.
Most RTTY and Packet uses 170 Hz and 200 Hz shifts. Indeed, shifts larger
than 1 kHz are prohibited by the FCC below 30 MHz.
