just replace with new units. It was fast service , two days a shop and radio
was shipped out.

I had a small problem arise with my 7300 about 3 months after I received it.
Its output of the band info (used for switching bands automatically on my
linear amp) stopped working.
ICOM swapped the whole main board. Luckily it was under warranty.
Apparently they don't repair boards either.

Subject: [TenTec] Ten Tec Argo V repair
I have an Argonaut VI that after 2 years old I lost receive on 160 & 80 meters.
This was in June 2015 with the second owner of Ten Tec. Shipped it to them & a
week later got a call from the service department. He said need to replace the
pre-selector board. The cost with shipping & tax was $348. I asked you don't do
component repair? He said nope, takes too long. We just replace boards.
Elecraft is the only company that I know of that still does component repair if
it doesn't involve replacing too many components or a large pin chip.
Icom's 7300 has really help lower the cost of used transceivers. Good for
those that are looking to buy, but bad for those trying to sell.
