I have had very good success with the Aston SS series being the SS-18 for
the VHF/UHF station equipment and SS-30M for the HF transceiver. I have one
in the shop for a bench supply, SS-30M, and 2 in ham repeater cabinets
being the SRM-30 rack mount model. I did add a dedicated chassis ground
terminal to all of my units. This point becomes the common ground point for
the stations.

I find that they are quiet both acoustically and electrically {HF to 1.2GHz}
and have proven to be 100% reliable.

Hope this helps.

Bob, I'm curious to know which brands/models of switching power
supplies you made the "switch" to over there at K4TAX? Replying to
the reflector as there may be others curious like me and I'm getting
ready to purchase a new supply here. Many thanks.
