You might consider an outboard audio notch filter.
Radio shack used to sell one that turns up at hamfests for about $30.
There are others but I am not familiar with them.
Another option is adding a softrock 9MHz SDR and using outboard signal
processing.
HDSDR is free and does a great job.
With the 300Hz filter in my Eagle, careful adjustment of passband and RF
gain
works very well with weak signals.
20W on tune. If you have an ammeter in your power supply you can see the
Eagle draws a
lot less current in tune mode. As with most autouners, it hot switches the
LC relays when tuning.
Reduced power keeps them within their rating.
