Welcome to the reality world of no TT koolaid Paul. I "upgraded" from the
Omni VI plus to the Omni VII and knew the moment I turned it on it was a
mistake. There will be a dozen guys come in and tell you all the numbers
are better on this radio as opposed to that radio. But to my ears the Omni
VII was a big disappointment. It was soon traded for a Orion which is twice
the radio the Omni VII is. The older TT are still very nice radios and you
get a lot of bang for the buck with them.
