Maybe we are, who’s to say. But in my 68 years of life, I’ve not seen the
nation I love as divided as it is now. And for me, Amateur Radio is a refuge
from all that.
You’re right, the comment came as a signature tag line, but it clearly
advocates in favor of a particular political figure (whom I may or may not
support). I see nothing to be gained and only the risk of “disturbing the
peace” among our generally peaceful group by posting campaign slogans, even if
only in signature tag lines.
But that is just my opinion, worth no more than anyone else’s.
