Had same problem last year - original Orion returned to TenTec to replace 
blown finals.  My Orion has had a virtual laundry list of continuous 
problems from day 1.  Even now, only on 15 & 17 meters, all is well until 
switching to SSB or LSB. Only on those 2 bands, first or second word spoken 
disables both TX & RX - CW on same frequencies still OK.
