OK Carl, now I fully understand.

Well it seems to me Ten-Tec could have just ganged these two together.
I guess the initial TX delay is a fixed value like it is on the other TT
rigs.
(I made up this name to mean the time the TX waits for the Amp to switch).
I thought maybe because there were two controls, one of them would adjust
the initial delay.

As I said earlier, the amp seems to be switching "on" just fine so I'll use
the EXT T/R to adjust the desired hang time (and forget about the Jupiter's
hang).

(Scott, if you're reading this, I know you are shaking your head, but we
older guys sometimes need a rest from the hectic of QSK. I ran home-brew
full QSK 40 years ago, but I don't always need it now!).

Who knows, Carl? Maybe one day I'll come up with a question to which you do
not know the answer ;-)

Tnx agn.

Rick

Rick,

To answer your first question, CW QSK DELAY has nothing to do with keying
the amp. This is the delay before the receiver comes back on after
transmitting. I assume you have EXT T/R connected to the amplifier's keying
line. The EXT T/R value adjusts how long this line stays active after
keying ceases. Setting this to a long value reduces how often the amplifier
relay comes up and down.
