I am also going back to 1.373b5 for all the reasons you state.  2.060b  Gain 
and AGC are still messed up and the audio is crackly.  If you  turn the audio 
up loud enough to hear a weak signal (almost all the way) the  distortion 
makes copy impossible.  Static sounds much worse with this  version even with 
the 
RF gain cranked down and after playing with the AGC  settings.
 
Back to the drawing board.
