Top Banders,
Five continents, 36 countries, 154 QSO's, 14 hours and it gets better every
year! No gales to blow down the antenna, no family gatherings to disturb the
science, no ear shredding QRN, loads of new calls to work, and this is the
greatest test of the bunch.
There was no sunrise opening to ZL this year, but Japan and Australia come
through at 599 and the east coast boys were strong all night!
The antenna this year was the 14 metre vertical in the 60 by 35 foot back
garden, with pennants for receive.
One hundred watts made a few of the Q's problematic, but almost all of the
big guns had very good ears.
Looking forward to next year already!
73 and Happy New Year to All on 160.
