Peter I have 2 phased K9AYs,one is about 25 meters from the tower and the second
one only about 10 meters. The tower is shunt fed for 160m.
Just a few months ago I made a system detuning the tower and the difference
with F/B with
detuning or not detuning the tower is about 2 S (sometimes more). You can find
a few descriptions how to do it
in ON4UN book....its really worth to do it .
K9AY helps me a lot,using the tower as a receiving antenna I have S9 level of
noise and with K9AY it drops to S2.
