"Ron, ZL1AMO, is stuck on Fiji Island. His wife reports "The boat
that was to take him was full and refused to take him." Obviously
he was rather upset however he has not given up and will continue
trying to get to Tokelau, ZK3. If he does not succeed this week, he
will return to Auckland by the end of the week. More news to follow."
The rest of the story:
Since this was reported by W3UR, I have learned that the captain of
the boat is a dedicated Topbander who has refused Ron's repeated
requests to QSY to ZK3. The captain seems to take delight in telling
Ron "Later" or just ignoring his requests. Sound familiar? ... ;)
