I worked 9L8MD from northern Ohio 2025-11-05 at 00:30 UTC. I was amazed to hear them at all, since my noise level seems to be high here. I seem to consistently get out better than I can hear. Perhaps my AZILOOP helped out a bit. Still experimenting with it. Transmit antenna is a 65' tall tee with about 30-40 65 ft radials (absorbed by the grass/ground) fed from the ground through an MFJ998RT remote tuner. My AZILOOP seems to be working better than my previous 2x 200 ft RBOGs that never seemed to hear any better than my transmit antenna. 73, Charlie, KC9LA cahall10@frontier.com _________________ Searchable Archives: http://www.contesting.com/_topband - Topband Reflector |
