Topband: MFJ-1026 Mods

I did the mods a few years ago before I was able to install more low noise 
antennas. Removing the front end filters alllowed more BCI and intermod 
problems.
 
I put another cap in to extend the range but I must say that I could not really 
detect a difference. The unit is gathering dust and I am thinking about selling 
it.
 
PS the fuse bulbs really light up during transmit which indicates that the 
beverages pick up a lot of RF
