Hello the group !
i use aluminum welding wire as radial material.It is about a tenth of an inch
thick and easy to handle.It can be obtained at salvage yards and even brandnew
spools are reasonable priced ! I used to crossconnect the wires with stainless
steel hardware which i greased before tightening and then sealed with silicon.
