Here is one to add to the interesting mix of subjects we have here
lately.
I have installed the local "fuzz" on my 170' tower and will be running a
shielded telephone line underground from the house to the tower. The
distance is 200' and the trench is 12" deep. I will also be running
240VAC in the same trench. The AC and the telephone lines will be in
their own individual PVC conduits. The transceiver will be in the
building at the base of the tower.
My question is:
What else can I run in that trench without causing problems to me or them
?
- Beverage feedlines...(quad shielded RG-6 or 1/2" hardline). ?
- TX cables such as jacketed hardline? ...full 1500W
- low power 28 thru 432 MHz TX-RX lines to remote amps, etc in the
building ?
The trench looks TOO big for just 2 cables! Plus my wife would love to
see less aerial cables around here.
NO discussion on electrical codes is necessary...in NH we do what we want
on our own property.
Tnx Carl KM1H
