I fully agree, Rick. Personally, I cant see any reason for Echolink in
hamradio, might be that I?m to oldfashioned. But then, ofcourse, You dont
have to depend on propagation, radio, antennas and also much lower
investments in equipment...

Rather than that, what I would like to see is more activity
on 80 CW. If conditions on 80 are excellent, then you could
try to QSY to 160. If 160 is not open, at least you have
some 80 meter QSO's.
