What an evening on the Top Band.
SM5EDX wins the most consistent signal award - holding court on 1832.5
most of the evening (he moved up a little near the end).
Four SMs, LY3UM and DF2PY mader it into the log. SP3BQ peaked up once
or twice really well, but didn't hear me calling. For some reason, LA3XI
never peaked up for me - and the UK stations never could be heard either.
At one point, EDX was so loud, I just sent the word "BORING" to him to
let him know the band was still open.
NL7Z heard SM5EDX - qualifying as his first European signal this fall,
but was unable to make the QSO.
If you live in the northwest - and were on the band - you should have
been able to surf the QSB and work one of the SMs at the very least.
SM4CAN, Kent, showed up and peaked up very well - as did SM5CEU.
SM5BFJ showed up a little late - after the band seemed to be losing
steam.
This feels a lot like the openings we had in second half of October last
year. Don't miss them!
