Top Band just dies as we approach winter. For a change, it’s nice and quiet
most nights now. Propagation to just about all DX is very poor. Even East Asia
is weak and watery lately. There are a few stations on daily in NA, but they
are mostly weak. It’s no longer worth getting out of bed on cold frosty
mornings now.
I’ll be moving to 80 m over winter, but checking on 160 m from time to time to
time.

Yes, 160m DX conditions are often still quite good Andy . . . but as you
say, very few stations coming on the band.
A lot of NA stations say it's now too noisy over there . . . or that their
Antennas were in Farmer's fields, so they've had to take them down . . . but
there's a couple of Contests coming up, and I bet there's lots of stations
coming on then !
It's a real shame there isn't more activity.
