Good news from El Salvador!
The OH group (Carl OH6XY, Heikki OH3JF, Toni OH1TD and Raija (YL)
OH7LIX)
operating as YS1X from the contest QTH of Raymundo, YS1RRD, have now been
active for eight deys.
They have made so far 17.800 QSO's with the following band breakdown:
160 m 1.000 QSO's
80 m 1.900
40 m 5.000
30 m 1.400
20 m 3.000
17 m 1.900
15 m 2.200
12 m 800
10 m 500
Of the QSO's 12.265 is on CW
and 5.540 on SSB.
RTTY operation started yesterday, Carl OH6XY, working 300 QSO's on
14.088
kHz. RTTY will be operated every (except Tuesday Feb. 3rd) day from 14.30
to 19.30 Z on 14.088 kHz.
Conditions have not been very good. Northern lights, aurora, made a 4
hour
black out last night. They have also suffered of another kind of black
outs, the electricity going away for 5 minutes from time to time.
They will concentrate to work low bands, specially Europe and Japan.
Conditions on 160 towards Europe have not been very good and they have made
only a handful QSO's with Europe. JA openings have been somewhat better.
They will be on 160 every morning from 03 to 06 Z for Europe and
11.00-12.30 Z for JA. The low band station is jumping between 160 and 80.
They will end the operation either early Sunday, Feb. 8th or very late
Sunday, Feb. 8th.
