I applaud the CQ 160 contest director for taking a stand against
illegitimate operations such as X5, etc. Allowing QSOs with these
unlicensed stations to count is the same as allowing QSOs with CB
stations to count. If they don't have a valid license from a proper
government, they are zero point QSOs. FB! CQWW has been pulling
unlicensed QSOs for some time. This change should not wait until the
year 2000. This should happen now!
I sure like the idea of a static number in the exchange. How about CQ
zone for a static??? This is a CQ contest....
Many contests have progressed to allow assisted categories. Looks like
the CQ 160 contest is moving forward. Contesters seem to like it! FB!
