Well I had my hopes up last night, having heard something ESP
level coming back to my CQ's after someone spotted that the VP8
was on "1842 now" according to a 20 meter operator.
I could hear a station calling me several times from the SSE, but I
couldn't quite get the call.
I just received an e-mail from a station in southern Chile saying he
was calling me, and the time and frequency matches. He was
running only 100 watts to a 50 foot long wire, and he is inland.
Well, at least it is nice to know we might have a chance if the VP8
does get on with low power! That is IF they do get on.
