Chris finally has the Battle Creek Special up and running. This was
not a trivial operation; they have gale force winds on approximately
110 days per annum. There was a problem with the trap, and it took
about 8 days before the wind dropped enough to take it down again!
He expects to be on 160 several mornings this week. Should start
around 02:00 UTC (which is 04:00 local time). Try 1824 or 1830, QSX
up 5.
On a different note: The QSL cards were finally received from the
printers last week. The first batch of cards was in the mail within
four days. I'll be in Europe and the USA over the next three weeks,
but after CQWW the cards will start going out in earnest.
There are five batches, corresponding to the chronological order in
which they were received. I am hoping to be fully up to date by the
end of the year. Registered mail will be answered some time next
year (if they are lucky).
