Have been absent again from the band again, but arrived
back home last Saturday, the band is still open to some areas
of the globe.
I got up yesterday early and as the receiver came on there was
VU4 saying he was going QRT and back at 1900. Well thats
way to late for here. He had a good workable signal but the
amp takes 3 mins to warm up, time to go back to the old
4-1000 I guess.
Today S21 was weak with QSB, but also went qrt well before
the sunrise peak.
Not sure if either operation is 160 savvy or not. Dont need
the Vu4 but can use S21 if they stay on long enough one day.
Have heard almost nothing from EU for some time, the propagation
has shifted for sure, still lots of Asia so maybe a chance to snag
something new yet before the summer qrn starts full time.
Still need 3 Africa zones to make the WAZ on top band from KH6.
Maybe "summer" will bring some south of the equator stations on
the band where its winter there.
