Don't Worry about the loop.  Using a rope and pulley ,I have pulled the 
insulator up with the wire through it and letting the wire slide in the 
insulator.  That makes it easy to pull the wire taught at the open end. 
it works like a champ. It also makes it easier to trim the antenna length.
