The database used for deep search contains only the calls of those doing
weak signal VHF and EME work. It is implemented ONLY in the WSJT software.
The JT65-HF software used on the HF bands, written by W6CQZ, does NOT
use deep search.
BTW -- how many contesters are there who don't use a super check partial
or call history file in their logging software? And exactly how is that
different from deep search?
And how about using a DX cluster to find stations to work? Sure makes
it a lot easier than spending decades tuning up and down the band
looking for signals, then having to separate the call from the noise.
And how about using Skimmer to copy calls? Or to spot the last station
worked in a pileup?
I'm SURE that none of the very vocal folks wringing their collective
hands have EVER stooped to any of these practices that make it SO much
easier to work DX, nor has anyone else using their station! And everyone
sends CW with a straight key, or MAYBE a bug. But NEVER an electronic
keyer.
