I have been using several vertical antennas and have never had any
problems with snow. Just shovel the area close to the feedpoint or build a
"wall" around it. The only problem with verticals in winter/summer
locations is that the phasing may change from one season to another. If
you i.e. are using -90 degs phase delay in summer it will probably change
during winter. So you´ll have to check the phasing twice a year. Good
