I'm relatively new to Top Band and would really appreciate help with info or
references on the following:
1. Thinking of converting my single wire one wavelength unidirectional NE
Beverage to a unidirection/bidirectional Beverage per Fig 7-21 in ON4UN's
book (use relay to switch terminating resistor in/out). Wondering how well
this works? Any suggestions on which relay to use?
2. Would like to put in a second one-wave Beverage toward JA/VK, but would
need to feed it from the "opposite" (NW) end. I assume the options are one
wire unterminated or two wire? ON4UN's book seems less than a "how to"
treatise when it comes to the two wire Beverage. I'd appreciate advice on
whether to go one wire unterminated or two wire. Are there better sources
of information on the two wire switchable Beverage? (Would prefer to make
my own transformers as well)
Tnx vy much & 73,
Barry N1EU
