Greetings. . .
I will be using shortened vertical elements for a 160 mtr four square that
I'm planning on putting up this summer. Each element will be made of 70' of
Rohn 25 sitting on a large insulator at ground level. The towers will be
guyed at 35' and 70'. I am planning on top loading each element with a top
hat consisting of the upper 20' of the guy wires attaching at the 70' level.
I will place the inductor between the top of the tower the junction of the
three top hat wires. My question is this. . . is the guy wire a sufficient
conductor or is it too resistive for this application? I will be using
standard 3/16" EHS guy wire.
