I have some experience on that. Beverages simply do not work if the terrain
slopes under them regardless if you keep constant height or not. The steeper
it slopes (the bigger vertical drop is) the less useful they are. It will be
exactly as noisy as a dipole in the sky.
Pennants or short verticals will perform there much better if mounted at the
edge of the cliff.
