It almost sounds like the NCJ (National Contest Journal) has room to grow to 
the ICJ...

I doubt either QST or CQ would be able to devote much, if any, more space to 
contests. They both need to appeal to a large cross section of Radio Amateurs.

I do agree that the TBDC could use a serious face lift. It's a unique contest 
for HF, one that probably gives you the best idea of how your station truly 
performs...

A write up in CQ could be what's needed to foster more souther hemisphere
interest. By the way, that's what's missing in the Stew Perry contest; a
write up in a major magazine or at least a QST type formatted article
online. The present crude online list of scores causes me to skip most
Stew's.
