This is written Tues afternoon 1/15/97 about 2330z.
160M - VK0IR nil heard today in SE NY from 2145z-2315z
This was a total washout when compared to yesterday's excellent conditions!
80M - VK0IR barely perceptable on 3.507 qsx 3512 from about 2245z - 2315z.
Not clearly readable although it was known that they were standing by for
USA callers from 2300z onwards! Conditions sure were a bust compared to
Monday evening's rather excellent start to the expedition.
It is highly doubtful that any US stations heard/worked them on 160M this
evening. It may have been possible for a vy fortunate few to have made the
grade tonight on 80CW - I did hear VE1ZZ in there calling at 2310z on
3.512Mhz. But even Jack sounded like he was braying into the wind tonight!
