The value of a Beverage termination resistor has nothing to do with the
length of a Beverage. Its resistance should be equal to the sum of the
surge impedance of the wire to ground plus the value of the resistance of
the ground rod. (Having said that, the value of the resistor is really not
all that critical.)

If you tell us the wire size and the height above ground, we can calculate
the surge impedance for you.
You can try it unterminated, but the results may not be what you want at
certain frequencies, as this is basically a transmission line on end.
Besides, the termination resistor will help reduce unwanted signals and
noise off the back.
I don't know how it will work on 160 being only 150' long. But I will say
that my own 580' Beverages are worthwhile even way down below the AM
broadcast band.
I suggest that you think about a Slinky Beverage, made from brass slinky
toys (Google brass slinky). I think a short slinky will work much better on
160 in only 150'. I personally have no experience with Slinkys, but I've
read enough experiences of others on the forums that tried them to believe
that short Slinkys really do work well. Check out
