In edition 2 ON4UN's Low-Band DXing page 11-22 he provides a hint of using the MFJ 931 artificial ground and states that it can be a tool for detuning a tower. Is the use of this device the same as the W8JI sectionalizing method of a structure, i.e. one tunes for Maximum Current on the 931 meter in the sectional dropwire? If so, this would seem like a quick method to determine more robust fixed component values. Appreciate any advice on if I have correctly described the use of the device above.
