3D2WC was on again this morning about 11:20z on 1829. I heard him
tuning up and then call CQ. I believe I was his first qso of the day.
His signal was fairly weak when he started (449). A few minutes after
he started, he disappeared. I tuned down to 1828 and discovered that he
had qsy'd there. He was listening on 1828 and 1907 for JA stations. He
did not have too many takers on either freq. His signal kept building
as sunrise approached. He was CQing with no takers, so I called him
back at 11:45z and gave him a 559. . . he gave me a 579. His signal
continued to build as the time approached 1200z when he was pounding in
at an honest S7-S8 on the tx antenna.
Looking forward to the H40 operation. Hopefully, they'll have a nice
signal on the topband and a new one for all of us.
