submission, include a note that indicates just that!  "Dear Bob - I
grabbed a couple of QSOs for countries that I needed while operating at
XXXX.  Just so you know!  Here's my check log."

That ought to take care of it and you can go back to pondering the
significance of OJ's civil trial.
