hello steve,
i have tried the MFJ filter and it is really terrible!
it was so bad that i put it on my communications
monitor to see what the response was. the ultimate
rejection was ONLY 11db.
i then built the filter shown in the handbook and
on the first try the rejection was 62db and after some
pruning of the transformers i got the <1800 kHz rejection
to 76db.
