CN8WW was excellent copy in Southwest New Mexico at this same time last
night.
I turned on the rig to listen around a bit after a long 15+ hour round
trip for business in Phoenix. Many, many stations calling up 2.5-3.5,
but CN8WW kept calling CQ and not answering any calls. Strange, I
said.
Finally I heard VA3SP called him on his TX freq. CN8WW came right back
but did not have the full call. I listened for 5 minutes or so as many
stations kept telling the VA3 to go up, apparently not hearing CN8WW
themselves. I believe VA3SP and CN8WW were never able to finish the
QSO. CN8WW apparently then went QRT. The horde was still calling up 3
or so. I never made a call due to the situation.
