I have seen rubber or plastic SNAKES on the tower, along an antenna boom for
instance, work better than owls. I cannot recall what size or color, but I
would bet somewhere on the net you could find info on what kinds of snakes
'like' birds and try to find something that looks like one of them. -Mike

I had a plastic owl on my mast and not a lot of birds. Lightning blew the
eyes out of
it, and when I repaired the damage to the beam, I didn't put it back up.
About the
same amount of birds.
I got mine at a hunter supply store.
Now for finding true north, it can't be beat.
