Metal roofs can cause RFI issues but I am guessing that this antenna will
work well, especially if you have sea between you and your target area. Can
you install an adequate ground system on your property with a house in the
way? What other top band options do you have? Inverted V's can work
surprisingly well in the Caribbean, perhaps because the rock ground is not
very conductive and there is also the vertical C shaped dipole that works
well.

I am interested in knowing what the detriment might be if you had a 80 foot
tower with a large Yagi for top loading within four feet of a 20 foot tall
concrete building with lots of rebar and a metal roof.

I'm not worried about matching the tower for 50 ohm feed but worried about
whether the concrete structure will attenuate the radiated signal and if so,
by how much.
