I have a medium K7NV prop pitch that I took out of service when I moved in
July 2024 and it has been stored inside ever since. I would like to use it
now for a rotating tower that I will be installing. The rotator still turns
fine but I am concerned about future water ingress which seems to be
damaging many K7NV rotators. I see a black rubberlike ring below the bevel
gear on the mast clamp assembly but this black rubber ring has small section
missing. If that is supposed to be the seal, there is a gap in it. Perhaps
it disintegrated. Has anyone changed the seal on a K7NV prop pitch? I am
not even sure how the mast clamp / bevel gear comes out of the ring with the
bearing.
