After many years, I still use Hill Radio
http://www.hillradio.net/
The Rohn catalog which is on-line has what is available for the SSV line
along with some engineering plans for the base, etc.
I would like to know what you mean as to "antenna mount"? I had to custom
fabricate plates for my SSV's rotator and antenna platforms. I used a TB3
thrust bearing on the top platform and recently used an old TB3 as a
pseudo-third platform so I could remove the rotator without having to fully
remove the mast.
I have an 80 foot SSV that has a 7N bottom section (7N --> 4N). This was
designed by Rohn for 100 feet (7N --> 3N) based on the wind load I gave them
which was probably a Hy-Gain 3-element tribander. I chickened out and went
with just 80 feet by not using the 3N section. So for nominal loads at the
top (I have a 3-el 40 Meter beam), I wouldn't want to go beyond 120 feet
with an 8N bottom section. The 2N section is really small from my
perspective, especially at 140 feet off the deck.
I rented a crane to erect the tower and incorporated a built in custom gin
pole system for the antennas. I live right next to the Gulf of Mexico and
the tower after 27 years shows no effects of wear or salt water effects. It
is really a low maintenance tower and it had no problems with two hurricanes
however for the antennas - another story!! I did recently spray cold
galvanize paint on the two upper (solid) sections since I was beginning to
see some effects on the galvanize but this was more preventative than
mandatory. Probably the best investment in a long wear tower anybody could
make. My biggest problem is that the XYL would prefer that I stop climbing
it!! You will probably wear out long before the tower does!!

I just purchased a used 140 foot SSV with a 8N bottom section.
Who is likely the best price source for SSV parts? Bolt kit, anchor bolts
and antenna mount for top section.
