I have a set of 2 inch that were meant for a Street Overpass tower sign and
on the bottom is a 4 inch by 2 inch round treaded disc. Does the same thing
the nut that us tower welds on the end. On a tower I help installed I
welded the 3 bolts with 3 inch plate to hold the pattern. Overkill for
holding the bolts other than it was cheap and I had lot of it. Next time I
would use 1/2 rod and tack to hold pattern. I learn the trick from a rebar
man. Sure beats holding the pattern with the T base. 73 Gene K2QWD

I rebuilt a Tri-Ex LM470 in 1999, and got the majority of my hardware
(galvanized bolts, pulleys, sheaves, hardened bolts, etc.) from RH Fastener
Supply Co.
They are in Kansas City, MO.

http://www.rhfastener.com

FWIW when I installed my LM470, I purchased the foundation cage (as
mentioned by a previous poster) from Tri-Ex, attached re-rod, and the entire
assembly was lowered into the foundation, suspended by a frame, prior to the
concrete pour. The "cage" is entirely embedded in concrete, except for the
three "tabs" which extend above the top of the concrete surface. The tower
tower legs are bolted to the tabs.

I would recommend following factory specs on putting up this heavy
self-supporting tower. I do not believe this tower be safe, self-supporting,
or properly installed just using bolts in the concrete.

Good luck and 73

Looking for a good source of anchor bolts to be used on LM470 tower.
Needing 6 bolts about 1" by 27" with J bend or angled.
Spec seems to call for ANSI F155 4 grade 55 bolts. Anyone have spares or
know a good source in Midwest US? Glen W5IF
