I don't have any of the big antennas up (or what I consider big), nor have I
ever dealt with any of the current "big antenna" companies so I can only
speak from a comparative and good business approach.
Their antennas would have to be superior to the competition for your
statement to be true. The 204BA was a nice antenna but nothing special on
which to base a comparrison. I did have one of those for years, but never
considered it "big". OTOH I did run the KLM mono-banders for 20 and 15 with
the 7L Wilson on 10. I wish I had them back.

Me too, for a superior product, but if I can get something close to the same
performance and ruggness for an equivelant price I'd go elsewhere.
A db or so makes little difference, so it would come down to construction
and reliability for me and I rate company service right up there when it
comes to desirability.
