My opinion is that any HF antenna measurement, under the effective =
conditions in
wich radiator will be used and along XYZ planes, is extremely hard and =
expensive
to be realized, out of amateurs possibilities and probably not worhwile =
to anyone.
I'm wondering what's the matter to deal in such an imperfect job were =
environment limitations and instruments errors lead to huge mistakes, =
instead of trying it as an
accurate computer modeling.
Like it's now tipycal, because incomparably better, to model antennas =
instead of changing elements lenghts in an empirical "cut and try =
(measure)" process, the same has to be applied in evaluating HF amateur =
antennas performances, traps and loadings included.
The inevitable error in a correct modeling is probably much smaller than =
those ones occurring in creative but error-prone, fundamentally unreal =
or not useful , tests.
