Herb is exactly right. Just get you some pop rivets and put them on the
elements. It is really hot here in south Texas and I have had more than one of
those clamps that you mentioned break in the heat if the antenna is built in
cool weather. I do not DEPEND on those hose clamps. On my antennas, if there
is a hose clamp, there is a pop rivet. Never had a problem with a pop rivet.
