I had mine replaced here after about 20 years.  They could probably have
gone longer after I dissected them on the ground, but they sure didn't look
nice up the tower.  I say if they start to show exposed rust near the top of
the tower they should probably be replaced.  This may happen sooner near
salt water or in desert environments with blowing sand.
